DRIVER COMMUNICATIONS
We would ask that drivers have mobile communications in the form of a cell phone or pager, as we do not have satellites. Cell phones with an extended coverage area are preferred. We use ComData cards for fuel purchases and cash advances along with ComCheck for repairs and lumper services.
WAGES
RDS offers company line haul drivers a starting wage of $0.28 per mile and stop pay with weekly payroll. Local drivers receive an hourly wage dependant on experience. Drivers have assigned trucks that are newer models.
BENEFITS
After the 90-day probationary period is completed we have health insurance, 401k plan and a safety bonus program available. Direct deposit of your pay is also available. Paid vacation following one-year continuous employment.

JOB DESCRIPTION

•Operate straight truck or tractor with trailer
•Transport product to various destination points
•Unload product at destination site
•Understand and comply with U.S. DOT regulations
•Must be able to communicate effectively verbally
•Must write legibly

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

•Bend, lift, stoop and grasp repeatedly
•Able to lift 90 lbs. Infrequently
•Able to lift 30 to 50 lbs. Moderately
•Able to lift 10 to 29 lbs Frequently
•Load and unload boxes of frozen product
•Sit/drive for extended periods
•Climb/descend stairs
•Overhead lifting
•Pull/push fully loaded pallets
•Have sufficient hand and arm strength to drive, operate and maintain truck/tractor-trailer without power steering assistance
•Meet physical requirements as outlined in the DOT regulations

APPLICATION GUIDELINES

•2 years verifiable OTR experience – names, addresses and phone numbers of previous employers with dates of employment.
•10 year verifiable employment history with no gaps. Self-employment, unemployment and military history must be documented.
•Class A CDL with MVR printout from within the past 10 days
•Minimum age 23 years
•No major traffic violations within the past 5 years. (DUI, Reckless Driving, etc.)
•No more than 2 preventable accidents, no suspensions, no serious moving violation (over 10 mph over posted limit or careless driving) and no more than 3 moving violations within the past 3 years. All accidents must be explained in detail.
•No failures or refusals of prior drug or alcohol tests.
•Must successfully complete pre-employment drug screening and road test.
•Must be willing and physically able to unload product at customer locations
•No pets allowed.
